As a Solutions Engineer, you are empowered to sell to business and IT leaders in every space and vertical, and take ownership in crafting customer-centric solutions. You will work alongside the account team to define and expand revenue opportunities, and ensure the solution is ready for cross company deployments. You also act as a critical liaison between Sales and Product; sharing customer feedback with the Product Management, Operations and Engineering functions at Box. Do you want to tinker, whiteboard, brainstorm and figure out how things work? Our highest performers develop deep knowledge of the Box platform, and are capable of leading presentations related to the Box security story, technical architecture and product configuration.This role is in the greater DC and NY area, supporting clients in US Public Sector - to expand our footprint and break into new accounts. Then we want to talk to you.WHAT YOU'LL DOYou research, explore and identify customer business problemsYou own the technical win for the lifecycle of the customerYou serve as a subject matter expert across multiple industriesYou take responsibility for driving the technical deal forwardYou understand product integrations, including Salesforce, Google, Office365You lead demos across the Box suite of offerings (Box Web, Mobile, Relay, Governance, Platform and custom API-based apps)You support field marketing events as a Box SME and presenterTravel up to 50% to engage with customersWHO YOU AREWe are an AI-first company. This means you approach your work with a growth mindset and find ways to leverage AI to help make faster, smarter decisions that will 10X your impact at Box.4 year degree or equivalent work experience required5+ years of Enterprise Field Solutions Engineer experience or relevant technical, customer facing experienceExperience with SLED and Federal accounts required from a pre-sales motionsStrong knowledge of FedRAMP authorization process and other compliance frameworks impacting SaaS vendors serving the public sectorKnowledge of government procurement cycles, RFP/RFI processes, and contract vehicles (e.g., GSA schedules)Familiarity with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and other relevant regulatory frameworksDemonstrated experience working with Box applicationsFamiliarity with AI/ML concepts, tools, and how they integrate into enterprise solutionsFamiliarity with strategic partnerships or subcontractor relationships often used in public sector engagementsAwareness of specific use cases such as citizen services modernization, secure document sharing across agencies, education collaboration needs etc.Quickly grasp complex technical concepts related to Box’s solutions, especially our offerings, and clearly articulate their business value to drive informed decision-makingDemonstrates creativity in designing tailored solutions that address unique challenges faced by public sector customers, leveraging Box’s capabilities to maximize impactExceptional skills in delivering compelling presentations tailored for both technical audiences and executive decision-makersExpertly build trust and rapport with diverse audiences, including both technical experts and non-technical stakeholders within the public sectorTrack record of meeting/exceeding KPIs such as deal velocity acceleration through technical enablement or increased adoption rates via solution demonstrationsBox lives its values, with community and in-person collaboration being a core part of our culture.
