This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly driven person with a well-rounded skill set to join the Intellectual Property team, whose responsibilities extend beyond those of a traditional Analyst. The ideal person for this role will need to not only have a strong grasp of the Intellectual Property industry, but also be flexible and a strategic thinker able to take on a variety of tasks.Responsibilities:Perform and synthesize in-depth industry, technology, and company-specific researchReview, organize, analyze, and summarize financial, marketing, and other documents produced by clientsBuild detailed financial models (i.e., discounted cash flow, comparable market/transaction, weighted average cost of capital)Develop and communicate clear takeaways from such information with consideration for qualitative and quantitative factorsWrite detailed, persuasive reports and prepare PowerPoint presentationsCommunicate effectively with an array of team members, including senior leaders and clients, in a structured and thoughtful mannerSuccessfully manage working on multiple concurrent, often vastly different, engagementsQualificationsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required; engineering or technical background is a plusAcademic success – minimum 3.5 GPAProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointExcellent written and oral communication skillsHigh degree of professionalism, integrity, flexibilityExceptional analytical skillsAbility to work well in a team environmentProgress towards relevant certifications is a plus, such as CFA, CPA, ASA, etc.Preferred Qualifications:Relevant work experience in investment banking, private equity, M&A, corporate finance, and/or intellectual property preferredPhysical and Mental Job QualificationsMust be willing to work in person in our Chicago, IL office on a hybrid schedule.#LI-PF1Additional InformationBenefitsOur flexible work environment allows employees to work remotely when neededGenerous PTO PolicyMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401k MatchA reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $85,000 - $100,000.
