CDL B Driver (Street Sweeper)

Job Title: CDL Class B Driver - Broom Sweeper / Dump Truck Operator Location: 550 Wolverine Street, Rockford, MI Schedule: Full-Time | Monday - Friday | Weekends may be required (Schedule subject to change based on business needs) Rate of Pay: $22 per hour * Sign-On Bonus: Up to $10,000 based on experience (restrictions apply) * Job Summary: SCA is hiring experienced CDL Class B Drivers with air brake endorsements to operate Broom Sweeper Trucks and/or Dump Trucks (Follow Trucks) on scheduled routes. This position plays a key role in keeping public and private roadways clean and safe. You'll be responsible for servicing a wide range of accounts-from new housing developments and construction zones to municipal and roadway projects. Broom Sweepers remove debris like broken pavement, asphalt and concrete millings, and construction materials. Follow Trucks tow an attenuator with an arrow board to safely divert traffic around active work zones. This role requires a dependable, safety-minded professional who is comfortable operating heavy-duty equipment in outdoor environments. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment * Operate Broom Sweeper or Dump Truck (Follow Truck) safely and efficiently * Review route schedules and communicate any uncertainties prior to shift * Complete all assigned jobs on time while maintaining high service quality * Use caution and adjust for changing road conditions and inclement weather * Communicate equipment issues, near misses, or incidents to supervisor within 8 hours * Refuel and clean equipment as needed * Overnight travel may be required * Perform additional duties as assigned by management Job Requirements: * Valid CDL Class B license with air brake endorsement * Clean driving record and current DOT Medical Card * Must pass pre-employment compliance screening * Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions * Exposure to vibrations, noise, fumes, grease, oil, and other job site hazards * Physical requirements include: * Occasionally lift 50+ lbs., carry, push, pull, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach * Frequently walk, stand, drive, and operate heavy equipment for long periods * Visual and sensory requirements include focus adjustment, depth perception, and clear near/far vision * Regular use of hands, arms, and PPE (eye, ear, and other protection) is required Benefits of Joining SCA: * Full benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k) * Company-paid life insurance * Voluntary benefits including short/long-term disability, accident, critical illness, and supplemental life insurance * Paid vacation and holidays * Competitive compensation * Career advancement opportunities * Weekly pay every Friday (for hourly employees) * On-Demand Pay via Ceridian Dayforce - access your earnings as you earn them #SCACDL1
