Known for its entrepreneurial culture, hands-on leadership, and strong track record with public and institutional clients like the City of Baltimore and Johns Hopkins, this is a firm where driven professionals can grow, lead, and make a real impact.Job DescriptionAs the Lead Estimator / Preconstruction Manager, you will guide the estimating department, set best practices, and work directly with leadership to ensure precise and competitive proposals across all phases of preconstruction. You'll manage a team of three estimators and collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and clients on high-impact projects from concept through bid.Responsibilities include:Lead all preconstruction activities including take-offs, cost estimation, and value engineeringCreate and manage project budgets, bid strategies, and preliminary schedulesMentor and manage a team of 3 estimatorsCollaborate with project management to ensure seamless project handoffReview architectural and MEP drawings to ensure accuracy in estimatesLead subcontractor outreach and competitive bid analysisInterface directly with clients, design teams, and trade partnersMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
