West Hills Animal Hospital & Emergency Center is looking for a dedicated Kennel Attendant to join our team!Please note: This is not a seasonal position. We are looking for candidates who are available to work indefinitely.Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role:Kennel Duties:Provide daily care for hospitalized and boarding animals, including feeding, cleaning, and exercisingMaintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kennel environmentAssist with basic grooming such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimmingObserve animal health and behavior, and promptly report any concerns to veterinary staffAdminister medications and treatments as directedMay assist with handling animals during examinations or proceduresAccurately document animal care and treatmentsDay Care Duties (in addition to kennel duties):Monitor one-on-one playtimes with dogs of all breeds and temperamentsProvide attention, enrichment, and socialization for day care guestsAdminister food and treats per owner or hospital instructionsMaintain and transport hospital laundry to/from our 24-hour facilityAssist with check-in and check-out of boarding and day care petsWhat You'll Bring:Prior experience working with animals preferredKnowledge of basic animal care and handlingFamiliarity with veterinary terminology and procedures is a plusAbility to lift and perform physically demanding tasksStrong communication and teamwork skillDependable, detail-oriented, and compassionateBenefits:Employee discountsFlexible schedules401K with company matchTraining and career development
