Job Type: Billing Specialist – Transportation & Logistics Location: Gainesville, GA Job Type: Contract Max PR: $18.50/hr Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8 AM–5 PM We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to support our Truckload Billing team. This role involves reviewing and analyzing freight bills, resolving discrepancies, and facilitating accurate customer billing. The ideal candidate will bring experience in billing, audit, accounts receivable/payable, or logistics operations. Responsibilities: Review and analyze carrier freight bills to ensure accuracy and completeness Proactively identify and resolve billing errors or duplicates Partner with transportation providers to obtain required documentation for customer billing Collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues preventing billing Support and improve billing cycle efficiency from carrier invoice to client payment Communicate with internal/external stakeholders to resolve open tasks while maintaining service standards Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of experience in audit, accounts receivable, accounts payable, load planning, or transportation/logistics Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills Preferred: Associate degree in Business or Transportation/Logistics (or equivalent experience) Previous billing or freight audit experience
