Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Job Description Join a dynamic engineering team and contribute to the development of innovative solutions in the field of mechanical engineering. This role involves evaluating sales order requirements, collaborating with sales and customers to resolve specifications, and working with various internal departments to ensure successful project execution. Responsibilities + Evaluate sales order requirements and specifications to configure or develop solutions. + Collaborate with Sales and customers to resolve requirements. + Work with Electrical Engineers and Drafting to produce customer drawings. + Serve as the technical lead on assigned projects. + Coordinate with Assembly, Procurement, and field technicians during startup to resolve issues. + Approve project release to Manufacturing. + Collaborate with Assembly and Test departments to resolve issues during build and test. + Participate in project teams to deliver cost-effective, manufacturable designs. + Provide updates on project status and timelines. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. + 5+ years of experience in designing and developing electromechanical products. + Proficiency in designing sheet metal products. + Experience with the development, design, and engineering of mechanical/electrical systems using both 2D and 3D CAD software (preferably Creo). + Experience with OEM design activities. + Familiarity with bill of materials (BOMs). + Experience with casting, compressors, pumps, and/or motors. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Electrical testing. + Knowledge in noise attenuation (fan silencers). + Customer experience. + Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) experience. + Understanding of seismic, wind, and vibration calculations. Work Environment Work in a recently opened office near the manufacturing facility as part of a team of over ten engineers. Spend approximately 90% of your day at a desk and 10% on the floor. Projects are highly customizable load banks with average tenure ranging from 6 months to 2 years. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, Ohio. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $58.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
