Phlebotomist

Phlebotomist - Outpatient Clinic Description: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our outpatient team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in drawing blood and handling specimens with precision and care, while providing excellent service to patients and medical staff. Responsibilities: + Perform venipuncture and capillary draws from fingers, heels, or veins using aseptic techniques. + Accurately obtain and label the correct amount and type of specimens. + Document lab requests and release results with precision and confidentiality. + Communicate lab results to physicians in a timely manner. + Route, handle, and process various medical specimens according to protocol. + Order, stock, and manage supplies to ensure lab efficiency. + Train and provide performance feedback to other lab assistants as needed. + Draw blood from 60-80 patients daily in a fast-paced outpatient setting. Skills & Qualifications: + Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience required. + Strong customer service skills and ability to work with diverse patient populations. + Experience in outpatient settings preferred. + Familiarity with Cerner or other EMR systems is a plus. + Must be computer savvy and detail-oriented. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly desirable.
