Medical Technologist/Lab Technician

Managed by United Surgical Partners International & Joint Commission Accredited. We are currently seeking a Lab Tech to work Monday - Friday 10a - 6:30p and rotating weekends. * Phlebotomy duties. * Routine laboratory procedures related to preparing human biological samples for microbiological, hematological, and chemical analysis. * Performs routine and stat laboratory testing, including (but not necessarily limited to) CBC, BMP, CMP, PT, PTT, UA, PFA, rapid flu, rapid strep, occult blood, hCG, and hemoglobin A1c testing. * Scanning of documents into patients' charts in Cerner. * Other duties as needed by laboratory director or supervisor. Required Skills: * High School diploma or equivalent * Associate degree or higher in medical laboratory technology; or bachelor's in medical technology, clinical lab science or related science * ASCP or AMT registration as an MT/MLT/CLS preferred * At least one year experience in Laboratory setting * Phlebotomy certification or eligible preferred. * Knowledge of governmental and regulating policies/standards. * Basic computer skills. * Ability to detect color and color changes. * BLS by AHA or obtain within 30 days from hire date
