World Electric is looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join our team. An Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through processing orders and coordinating customer service needs with other functions within the branch. This role serves as customer contact regarding such matters as pricing, scheduling and shipping. The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for performance in the areas of sales, gross margin, gross margin percentage, market share growth, and profitability of all product lines.Key AccountabilitiesSales:Receive and handle calls from existing and new customers to explain the type of services or products we can offerQuote prices and use sales skills to complete the purchaseOutbound calls to follow up on previous quotesSecure and place orders with others for filling and arrange delivery dateRecord names, addresses, purchases, and reactions of prospects solicitedWork with the outside sales and manager to secure customer satisfaction on all accounts.Works with shipping dept to arrange special delivery circumstancesPrepare and work reports on sales activities and expediting.Source product for "special" and "direct" non-stock customer ordersAssemble all information necessary for a customer quotationPrepare customer quotations and analyze quotation resultsProvide appropriate report information to sales management and outside salesFollow up after sending quotesCustomer Service:Adjusts complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigationEnsure customer returns are handled in accordance with company policyProvide support at the counter during peak customer times as neededEducation and/or Experience: Two-year certificate/degree from college or technical school orSix months to two years related experience and/or training orEquivalent combination of education and experienceRequirements:Read and interpret documents such as training instructions, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsWrite routine reports and correspondenceSpeak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organizationInterface in a customer responsive manner over the telephone and in personHandle difficult customer situations with diplomacyAbility to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometryApply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
