Powered Industrial Truck Operator

Job Summary Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries, move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, trucks or storage facilities. Your position will focus on safe and efficient movement of products and materials. Competencies Previous Forklift/Reach Lift/Order Picker Certification per OSHA standards. Written and Verbal Communication Proficiency. Organizational Skills. Proficient Mathematical Skills. Technical Capacity. Thoroughness. Time Management. High school diploma/GED required. 2+ years' experience operating PITs (Power Industrial Trucks). Knowledge of various material-handling equipment. Strong understanding of OSHA regulations. Possess a high regard for safety in the workplace. Able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Work EnvironmentThis position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposureduring the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipmentsuch as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, andstandard warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, handtrucks, box cutters and industrial tape dispensers. Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that mustbe met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of thisjob. While performing the duties of this job, the employee isregularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands andarms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; andstoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit andclimb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionallylift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds. Specific visionabilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, colorvision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time, non- exempt position. Work hours are typicallyMonday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., but are subject to change as FSIdeems necessary. TravelNo out of town travel is expected for this position.
