Senior Accountant

Description We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure financial compliance, and provide valuable insights into our financial strategy. This pivotal role demands strong technical acumen, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a Senior Accountant, you will oversee critical accounting functions, assist in process improvement, and provide mentorship to junior team members. Key Responsibilities: + Prepare, review, and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP. + Oversee general ledger activities, month-end and year-end closings, and account reconciliations. + Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas of opportunity. + Manage and report on complex accounting tasks such as revenue recognition, intercompany transactions, and fixed asset management. + Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate response to audit inquiries. + Collaborate with leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes. + Assist with regulatory compliance, tax preparation, and reporting requirements. + Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in accounting operations. + Provide training, feedback, and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering team development. Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA is highly preferred). Experience: + 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management. + Experience working in [industry, e.g., manufacturing, financial services, etc.] is a plus. Technical Skills: + Proficient in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, etc.) and ERP systems. + Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, macros, and financial modeling). Soft Skills: + Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. + Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
