Stepp's Towing & Heavy Transport is seeking experienced Heavy Haul Transport Drivers to join our team! We're looking for Class A CDL drivers with a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and excellent problem-solving abilities. This local/regional position involves hauling high, wide, and heavy loads using lowboy, Landoll, step-deck, flatbed trailers, and heavy-duty rollbacks. Manual transmissions only-no slip seating!All drivers must have their own set of tools once assigned to a truck.Essential FunctionsManeuver tractor and trailers into loading/unloading positions, following signals from crew and ensuring safe positioningPull trailers configured with tow bars or goosenecks as neededLoad and unload trucks, operate special loading equipment, and assist others as requiredSecure equipment for transport using ropes, chains, binders, etc.Operate multi-axle trailers for heavy equipment transportUse GPS mapping effectivelyWork in all weather conditionsPhysical RequirementsLifting, crawling, pulling, frequent use of hands, bending, reaching, and climbingSignificant physical strength and staminaKey BehaviorsPassionate, motivated, and open to growth and challenges.Proactively build customer relationships and provide thoughtful solutions.Maintain a professional appearance and represent Stepp's with pride.Strive for continuous improvement by embracing new tools and processes.Demonstrate respect toward co-workers and foster a positive team environment.Promote opportunities within the company and through referrals.Required Skills & QualificationsClass A CDL with at least 2 years of verifiable experience requiredCurrent DOT Medical Card requiredTWIC Card (required within 30 days of hire)HAZMAT endorsement (required within 90 days of hire)Registered in the DOT ClearinghouseClean driving record (required for at least the last 3 years)MUST be able to pass a background check and drug testExperience with heavy equipment hauling requiredMUST be able to drive manual transmission trucksCommission Pay: 25% Commission- Our drivers on average earn $1,200 - $1,500+ a week. Pay guarantee of $1000/week (whichever is greater)This pay structure should not be misconstrued as a salary-paid position.
