Heavy Equipment Operator - Industrial

Job Responsibilities * Safe operation of a variety of heavy construction vehicles and equipment. * Responsible for daily inspection of equipment and performing basic repair and maintenance as needed to ensure the safe working condition of all equipment. * Read and understand various types of load charts. * Maintain a clean work environment. Qualifications/ Requirements * Minimum of 3 years of experience as a heavy equipment operator. * Knowledge of operation and maintenance of a variety of heavy construction vehicles and equipment. * Knowledge of principles and practices of routine and preventative maintenance of heavy construction vehicles and equipment. * Knowledge of principles and procedures of documentation and record-keeping including operators' books. * Knowledge of occupational hazards and standard safety practices. * Knowledge of safe load securing practices/rigging experience is a plus. * Understanding of hand signals. * State licensing may be required depending upon the state. * NCCER certification is a plus. * CDL license is a plus. * Must hold a Massachusetts and Connecticut hoisting license.
