Corporate Store Appraiser provides claims service and technical expertise regarding physical damage auto, property and heavy equipment/specialty equipment losses. This includes appraising, evaluating and finalizing assignments in accordance with client guidelines, contracts, and current insurance laws and regulations, as well as managing client relationships to drive market share growth.RequirementsEssPrimary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:Communication Proficiency, both written and verbalAbility to operate a motor vehicle for up to 8 hours daily, repeatedly entering and exiting the vehicleAbility to plan and navigate daily routes efficiently, while observing all motor vehicle lawsAbility to visually and manually inspect all angles of interior and exterior of vehicle or machineryTechnical Capacity to operate basic office machineryAbility to self-motivateAdvanced Organization Skills/ Time Management skillsAdvanced Problem Solving/Analytical skillsAbility to act with discretion Regular Attendance is an essential function of this positionPerforms appraisals, identifies pre-determined damages, prepares and submits appraisals indicating costs for the parts, materials and labor necessary to restore vehicles to their pre-damaged conditionProvides claims professionals with advice on vehicle repair. Able to identify loss related damages and unrelated prior damageEvaluates damages, completes appraisals and makes recommendations on total lossesCompletes Direct Repair Program re-inspections, supplements as warranted to verify damage or confirm repairs are completedDocuments vehicular, specialty equipment, and property damages to determine reparabilityApplies knowledge of local laws, parts distribution, sublet repair vendors, and trade relationships to assist in maintaining cost control while providing a positive PDA imageEvaluates, total losses and completes necessary documentation. May be responsible for moving salvage and securing titles and other transfer of ownership documentsManages client relationships while developing growth and new client base. May be involved in sales, negotiating, and contracting of new clientsMarkets PDA to potential service vendors by calling on body shops, auto dealerships, Third Party Administrators, Insurance Companies, and investigators, establishing relationships and promoting the PDA brandMonitors market share performance and makes strategic adjustments to ensure retention is maintained and growth is experienced.Review of company metricswhile providing analytical resolutions to performance of the area aligned to company goalsEstablishes strong relationships to maintain client satisfaction levels.Serves as client liaison and provides one-stop service for the locationMay assist in the training of staff and evaluation of staff, independent and Direct Repair Program shopsTravel between 75% and 85% is required dailyPerform other duties as assigned
