Job Requirements The General Manager is responsible for all aspects of day to day operations at the hotel and provides support to the all departments. For example, oversee the housekeeping of the hotel, the duties of the front office, improving revenues, guest satisfaction, while adhering to all brand standards as well as the ownership company goals Assist in the daily operations of the hotel including Front Office, Housekeeping, Breakfast, Laundry, Maintenance, and accounting. * Supervise, train, evaluate, motivate, guest interactions. * Train team members as needed on Property Management System as well as on other duties. * Oversee and ensure accountability of all operational hotel team members. * Verify and review all housekeeping reports on a daily basis for accuracy. Follow up immediately on any discrepancies, especially in the area of "ghost" rooms. * Verify and maintain daily employee hours into the time and attendance system, as well as on paper. * Prepare Employee work scheduled on weekly basis. * Acts as the hotels public relations director and promotes the property. * Monitor and reply to Guest feedback on Madelia, Google, yelp, Trip advisor, OTA's etc. * Interact with guests on a frequent basis to obtain feedback about their experience. * Making sure all billing disputes, guest inquiries and guest complaints get handled properly. * Maintains accurate records including cash flows sheet, guest AR Ageing reports, Direct billing, Payoll etc. * Check night audit package on daily basis to ensure house balance. Immediately bring to the attention of the upper management for major events or concerns. * Balancing of room inventory, proper recording of "No Show's", Guest ledger * Verify that travel agent commissions are correct prior to forwarding to payables for payment. * Control costs by adhering to standards of operations forecasting revenue, scheduling, payroll control, and other expenses. * Selects or assist in the selection of hotel staff and maintain records of all new hire paper works. * Review employee performance and conducts personnel actions such as disciplinary actions and terminations. * Performs daily, weekly and monthly property condition and inspections. * Ensures property, grounds, physical plant and work areas maintained to standard. * Monitor maintenance progress and FF&E (Furniture, Furnishings, and Equipment) conditions and provide status report to upper management. * Audits on par stock on all areas to make sure that all required hotel supplies are ordered and stocked in advance of need. * Audit inventory and revenue on market store and supply. * Performs sudden audits and inspection of rooms and other operating areas. * Often inspect rooms and insure cleanliness and maintenance goals are met. * Ensure all hotel maintenance issues get fixed on timely manner * Builds strong working relationships and communications with hotel staff, HOD's and other departments to ensure maximum operating effectiveness and fulfilment of special event need. * Maintain a professional appearance always and ensure hotel staff is at grooming standards. * Must be available 24/7 in case to respond to any guest or employee emergencies. * Cover shifts in all departments as scheduled or unscheduled Corporate client handling and take part in new client acquisition along with the sales team whenever required. * Assisting in sales as and when required and development with strong sales prospects. * Assist DOS in groups' arrivals and their requirements. * Adheres to all company procedures and regulations as well as standard operating procedures. * Builds owner loyalty through proactive communication, setting and managing expectations and delivering solid business results. * Submit daily reports to upper management as requested. * Other duties may be assigned to ensure smooth operation of the hotel. Work Experience Hilton GM certified. Experiance on PEP system is plus Food Manager certified Experiance on Hampton brand.
