Senior Electronics Technician

Job Title: Senior Electronics TechnicianLocation: Hanover MD Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire About the Role:We are seeking a Senior Electronics Technician to join our dynamic engineering team supporting complex electronics assembly, testing, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience working with PCB assemblies, RF systems, and soldering at the component level. Experience in the DOD or aerospace industry is highly preferred.Key Responsibilities:Assemble, test, and troubleshoot complex electronic assemblies and circuit boards (PCBs)Perform detailed soldering and rework on surface mount and through-hole components under a microscopeDiagnose and repair electronic assemblies to the component level using schematics and test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, etc.)Support RF circuit testing and tuning using RF test equipmentCollaborate with engineers on design validation and prototyping effortsDocument findings, repairs, and processes in accordance with quality standards and proceduresMaintain and calibrate test and measurement equipment as neededFollow industry standards (IPC/J-STD) and safety protocolsQualifications:Minimum 5+ years of hands-on electronics technician experienceStrong proficiency in PCB assembly, rework, and component-level troubleshootingExperience with RF circuits and testing tools (signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers)Proficient in soldering under a microscope; IPC-610/IPC-7711/7721 certifications preferredAbility to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, and technical documentationStrong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and problem-solving skillsFamiliarity with military or aerospace electronics standards is a plusDOD or Aerospace industry experience preferredPreferred Experience:Working in an ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality-controlled environmentExperience with environmental or vibration testing a plusFamiliarity with ESD and cleanroom protocolsEducation:Associate's degree in Electronics Technology or related field preferred, or equivalent military training and experience$65,000 - $85,000 a year
