Maintenance Technician

HiFyve is hiring a 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician in the manufacturing industry in Reading, PA!Pay:Tier II: $31.90/hour + $0.50 shift differentialTier III: $35.09/hour + $0.50 shift differential (Tier placement determined by written and hands-on testing; food-grade welding experience may increase pay)Shift: 3rd Shift - 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Sunday-Thursday (on-call rotation approximately 1 in every 6 weekends)Location: Reading, PABenefits: full benefits package + relocation assistance availableKey ResponsibilitiesProvide immediate troubleshooting for downtime issues across the facilityPerform electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and controls troubleshooting and repairConduct preventive and predictive maintenance using CMMS documentationMaintain and repair plant equipment, piping systems, valves, compressors, and pumpsSupport equipment installation and preventive maintenance program implementationTrain and mentor junior maintenance staff and apprenticesInterpret work orders, manuals, schematics, blueprints, and technical proceduresCommunicate effectively across departments during repairs and interventionsApply RCA, 5S, and other CI tools to identify process improvement opportunitiesFollow GMP, safety, food quality, and sanitation standards at all timesWork a schedule that includes on-call availability and weekend coverageEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED required4+ years of maintenance experience in a process manufacturing environmentBoiler safety, ammonia safety, and NFPA-70E certifications required2-year technical degree in mechanical and/or electrical field preferredTier Skill RequirementsTier II:Mechanical and basic electrical skillsPneumaticsPiping and valvesWiring and replacing motorsTier III:All Tier II skills, plus:PLC troubleshootingHydraulicsPower transmissionsHeating, cooling, and condensersUnion InformationMust join the Teamsters Union after 90 days$250 initiation fee if not previously a memberMonthly dues equal to 2.5x your regular pay rateIf you are interested, please apply!
