They are accountable to themselves and others.HealthCare Customer Service Representatives ensure that client-assigned healthcare accounts are billed and paid both accurately and timely. They perform their duties in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and GetixHealth's policies and procedures.Shift: Monday-Friday 10am-7pm pm ESTCompensation: Onsite - $16/hr + all are quarterly bonus eligibleAdditional $1/hr Shift Differential after 5pmPosition ResponsibilitiesMedical CollectionsResponding to telephone inquiries (inbound/outbound), utilizing standard procedures and scriptsGathering information, performing research and resolving customer inquiriesCommunicate appropriate options for resolution in a timely mannerInform customers/patients about services available, and assess their needsSchedule work to ensure accurate phone coverage, prioritize calls and escalate as requiredAssist in planning and implementing department goals and make recommendations to management to improve efficiency and effectivenessOther duties as assigned:Successful accomplishments and primary accountabilities of this position will depend upon establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of people both inside and outside of the functional area. Such people may include, but are not limited to: interdepartmental leadership, education and development, the patient, client hospital staff, government, insurance company representatives, vendors, compliance, finance, decision support and contact management as well as GetixHealth' s officers, senior management and staff.Requirements Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or college degree from an accredited college or universitySpanish fluency preferableTwo to five years industry experience in medical revenue cycle management is required.Medical experience, either practical or classroom knowledge needed.Proven understanding of the medical revenue cycle.Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.Demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations.Attention to detailGood attendance recordProven ability to work collaboratively in a team environmentDemonstrated ability to perform work in alignment with company mission and valuesProven PC proficiency in MS Office Suite ApplicationsWork Environment / Physical RequirementsWork environment is either remote or an office location.The position requires the dexterity to operate office equipment such as a personal computer, keyboard, mouse and telephoneOccasional lifting may be required up to 25 lbs.Must be able to sit for extended periods of time with frequent bending and stoopingMust have current, valid driver license or reliable transportation to commute to/from workBenefits and IncentivesComprehensive Health Coverage:Group medical, dental, and vision plans available from the first day of the month following 90 days of full-time employment.Life and Disability Insurance:Basic life/AD&D, short-term, and long-term disability coverage provided, with options for voluntary life/AD&D.401(k) Retirement Savings Plan:Eligible to participate in the company's 401(k) plan at the beginning of the first calendar quarter following 6 months of continuous service.Paid Time Off (PTO):Accrue Paid Time Off starting on your first day of employment.Flexibility in Benefits:The company reserves the right to amend, modify, or terminate any benefits programs as needed.GetixHealth is an equal employment opportunity employer.
