Position OverviewThe Environmental Division Manager is responsible for developing and executing the business development plan and strategy which includes but is not limited to estimating, building and overseeing and managing all field crews and their activities related to the abatement of hazardous materials, including asbestos, lead, mold, and other contaminants. This position ensures work is performed in full compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations and company safety standards. The division manager will build and lead crews, contract and coordinate with clients and subcontractors, and ensure timely project completion.Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesdevelop and execute a business development plan and strategyestimate and manage projectsbuild and add to field crewsSupervise day-to-day field operations for hazardous material abatement projectsEnsure adherence to safety procedures, regulations, and site-specific plansConduct pre-job planning and daily briefings with crewsInspect work areas to ensure containment, decontamination, and waste handling protocols are followedMaintain accurate project documentation including logs, permits, and incident reportsCommunicate with project managers, clients, and inspectors throughout project lifecycleMonitor crew performance and provide on-the-job guidance and trainingCoordinate logistics related to equipment, materials, and transport of hazardous wasteEnforce use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and conduct jobsite safety auditsRespond to emergencies, incidents, and inspections as requiredEnsure proper decontamination and disposal in accordance with EPA, OSHA, and Cal/OSHA requirementsMust-Have QualificationsAt least 10+ years of direct supervisory experience in hazardous material abatement.Current certifications (if expired, no more than a year):OSHA 30HAZWOPER (40-hr)Confined Space Entry TrainingNFPA Electrical Safety TrainingFirst Aid/CPRAsbestos Supervisor CertificationLead Supervisor CertificationResidency or willingness to commute within 25 miles of the SF Bay AreaStrong working knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local abatement regulationsDemonstrated leadership skills with ability to build, and train and direct field crewsValid drivers license with a clean driving recordAbility to lift 50+ lbs and wear full PPE, including respirator equipmentMust be able to work fully on-site and in physically demanding conditionsWork Environment and Physical DemandsExposure to hazardous materials, extreme temperatures, confined spaces, and construction environmentsRequires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and use of protective gearMust be able to respond quickly to on-site issues and emergenciesTravel to job sites within the Bay Area requiredCompensation & BenefitsSalary Range: $90,000 - $125,000/annuallyHealth and Dental pany vehicle or mileage reimbursement.Paid time offValid drivers license and clean driving record preferred.
