Position SummaryCardinal Health Sonexus Access and Patient Support helps specialty pharmaceutical manufacturers remove barriers to care so that patients can access, afford and remain on the therapy they need for a better quality of life. Our non-commercial specialty pharmacy is centralized at our custom-designed facility outside of Dallas, Texas, empowering manufacturers to rethink the reach and impact of their products.Together, we can get life-changing therapies to patients who need them—faster.The Director of Business Development, Patient Hub Services, is responsible for business development within new and existing pharmaceutical manufacturing clients, sales growth strategies, negotiations and building strategic partnerships.This position will focus on business development within the market verticals of Access and Patient Support, Clinical Services and Reimbursement Services. The Director will build key customer relationships to uncover customer needs to align solutions that address customer goals. The Director will add value by aligning complex product solutions and services with key customer initiatives. The Director will be customer centric, have experience driving growth in a matrixed environment and help ensure all teams deliver on commitments.This is a remote, work from home opportunity that requires travel for internal and customer facing obligations. This position will report to the Vice President and General Manager of Sonexus Access and Patient Support.Territory: NationwideResponsibilitiesIdentify and drive new business development, opportunities, and revenue growthBuild and maintain trusted advisor relationships at Pharma decision-making customer levelsLead customer prospecting, negotiations and sellingCollaborate with colleagues in existing accounts to identify opportunities. Work with other Sonexus business units to create solutions or value propositions with Pharma organizationsTranslate healthcare market and customer needs into a well-defined strategy with clear goals, objectives, and actions to drive growth and profitability for the organization. Understand the business and marketing challenges of key prospectsSeamlessly map solutions to help customers achieve their HUB and other goals, putting the company in the best position to succeed and earn customer business and loyaltyDevelop complex financial models, tailored value-added solutions that meet customer business needs and share key learnings with othersOversee, manage and develop responses to requests for proposals (RFPs)Responsible for creating and coordinating client pitch presentations. Organize, direct and make physical arrangements for presentationsManage the creation and execution of Master Service Agreements and Statements of Work with the assistance of Legal, Operations, Finance and ITRemain current on market trends, relevant industry, and job knowledge, by attending conferences, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional network organizationsAnticipate internal/external business issues; align execution to deliver our business objectivesInspire, motivate, and create a culture of inclusion, teamwork, and accountability across Cardinal HealthUtilize and share expertise and broad business knowledge across business segment and Sonexus Patient Access & Patient SupportDemonstrate critical thinking and contribute to innovationQualificationsBachelor degree or equivalent experience in related field preferredMinimum of 7+ years business development/sales experience in a related field preferredExperience working for a top-tier pharmaceutical manufacturer, healthcare services company, or patient access HUB providerExperience within Patient Access, Patient Services or Hub services strongly preferredStrong Healthcare industry business acumen, network, and passion for building long term customer relationshipsDeveloped positive relationships with high level, decision-maker relationships in the pharma industry with a track record of working with emerging, innovative products and solutionsAbility to establish credibility and to be an influencer with pharmaceutical customers as well as with business partners and KOLsAbility to lead and work cross functionally to drive and design solutions for customersStrong executive presence, exceptional leadership skills and organization skillsExcellent planning, forecasting, pipeline development and management skillsAbility to multitask, prioritize, adapt to change, and work well under pressureExcellent listening and communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation skillsAbility to travel ~35% or as neededWhat is expected of you and others at this levelUtilizes a broad and deep knowledge to develop innovative new business practices, policies and proceduresContributes to the development of department strategyWorks on or may lead highly complex projects of large scopeProjects are typically cross functional and have significant and long-term impactProvides solutions that set precedentNegotiates complex or risky technical business issues on behalf of the companyIndependently defines project, establishes budget, identifies participants and mitigates riskConsults with management to determine project objectives with long-term implicationsActs as a mentor to less experienced colleaguesCompensation and BenefitsAnticipated salary range: $214,200- $270,680 (includes targeted variable pay)Bonus eligible: YesBenefits: Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being.Medical, dental and vision coveragePaid time off planHealth savings account (HSA)401k savings planAccess to wages before pay day with myFlexPayFlexible spending accounts (FSAs)Short- and long-term disability coverageWork-Life resourcesPaid parental leaveHealthy lifestyle programsApplication window anticipated to close: 10/10/2025.
