OverviewThe Superior Court of California, County of Orange is accepting applications for the position of Chief Finance and Administrative Officer. Deadline to apply is Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. PST. This recruitment is open to external candidates, internal OCSC employees, and internal OCSC promotions. This recruitment may be used to fill current vacancies and to establish an eligible list for future vacancies. Annual salary: up to $257,000 DOE. Benefits highlights are listed below.ResponsibilitiesProvide executive leadership across finance, accounting, business analytics, collections, facilities operations, financial planning, procurement, and related services.Oversee court-ordered payments, facilities access, emergency preparedness, internal audits, and serve as a security liaison with the Orange County Sheriff on facility and staff safety matters.Advise the Court Executive Officer, Judicial Officers, and committees; act as executive liaison to external agencies and working groups; participate in sensitive or high-profile matters as needed.Ensure compliance with state and local regulations, court policies, and best practices while promoting efficiency, transparency, and accountability in financial and administrative functions.Minimum QualificationsREQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, finance, accounting, economics, or a closely related financial field, plus six (6) years of full-time professional financial management experience within a court or another public agency, and three (3) years of supervisory experience over professional accountants and/or other management staff. *Note: A copy of your college diploma or official transcripts must be included with your application.Desired QualificationsMaster’s degree in business, accounting, finance, public or judicial administration.Possession of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure.California trial court finance and budget experience.Four (4) or more years of experience managing a large-scale finance operation across multiple units and locations.Experience serving as a Court-designated representative or liaison to one or more justice-system stakeholders.Experience implementing significant multi-agency projects/initiatives.Availability to periodically work evenings and weekends, if needed.Additional InformationAPPLICATION PROCESS: All applicants must submit a completed online application and supplemental questionnaire.
