Buyer Interior and Exterior Closures Job Summary: Our client in Troy, MI is looking for a Buyer-Interior and Exterior Closers. This is a contract to direct hire position. We are seeking for an energetic, organized, experienced Buyer for Interior and Exterior/Closures to join our growing team that brings a “roll up the sleeves” approach to getting things done, as responsibilities will be wide ranging. Important skills include accountability, strategic thinking, relationship building, business case analysis, and negotiation. The Buyer will develop a strategic supply base, lead supplier negotiations, and manage RFIs, RFQs, and take ownership of Automotive Interior and Exterior/Closures sourcing ensuring precision fit, supplier readiness, risk mitigation, and launch timing. Collaborate cross-functionally to implement cost reductions, drive supplier quality, and ensure adherence to company terms and conditions. What you bring to the team: Bachelor’s degree required. 8-10 years of experience of proven experience sourcing Automotive Interior and/or exterior/Closures. Primarily looking for interior closures: hood, interior roof/panels, ceiling, grill module, fenders, quarter panel, wiper/washers, aero shield, bonding, and cladding. Exterior Closures: roof, frunk, trunk, and trunk components. Excellent communication and relationship building skills. Ability to identify process issues and drive improvements to improve operational efficiency.
