Position Summary The LCL Export Team Lead will oversee and coordinate Less-than-Container Load (LCL) export operations for our NVOCC business. This role is responsible for supervising a team of export coordinators, ensuring timely and accurate execution of shipments, maintaining compliance with international regulations, and delivering exceptional service to customers and partners. The Team Lead will act as a bridge between management, customers, carriers, and internal departments to drive efficiency and operational excellence. Duties and Responsibilities: o Encourage quality and efficiency by constantly training, motivating, and coaching staff o Responsibility for interviewing and training employees o Supervise, train, and develop LCL staff members in line with the objectives, policies, and procedures of the organization. o Complete supervisory responsibilities in a timely and thorough manner o Liaising with managers. Reporting back to senior managers o Position requires dealing directly with Customs o Work closely with Sales Representatives, oversea agents, customers, vendors, and related departments to assist in helping support sales growth o Assign and direct work; appraise performance o Must have a working knowledge of all duties required of team members within the department o Maintain knowledge of the company's products o Maintain highest degree of confidentiality in staff and management matters Qualifications o At least 3 years of experience in the transportation industry, specifically NVOCC o Ability to participate as a team-member as well as leader in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. o Strong background and work experience in Operations Management o Excellent computer skills and proficient in excel, word, and outlook o Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, Spanish and English Preferred o Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives o Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style o A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace o Excellent people manager, open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done o Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization o Ability to look at situations from several points of view o Delegate responsibilities effectively o High comfort level working in a diverse environment o Hazmat / IMO certification
