Senior Structural Engineer - Transportation InfrastructureAn established engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead transportation infrastructure projects in the Mid-Atlantic region. This role offers the opportunity to manage complex bridge and structural assignments, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the growth of a high-performing team.Key Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or equivalent) Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Pennsylvania ; PE in New Jersey is a plus Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering Experience collaborating with state and local transportation agencies Prior involvement in state-level transportation projects is highly preferred Strong project management and client engagement skills Proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams and meeting contractual obligations Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and structural design software used in transportation engineering Primary Responsibilities:Design and analyze bridges, culverts, buildings, and other infrastructure assets Lead all phases of transportation-related structural projects, including permitting and coordination Conduct bridge inspections and prepare technical documentation Develop project proposals and manage client communications Provide construction-phase support including contract administration and budget oversight Monitor project financials and ensure compliance with scope and budget Represent the firm in professional and civic organizations to support business development Support senior leadership in expanding the structural engineering practice and client base Mentor and manage engineering staff with a focus on performance, profitability, and growth
