Position Title: Corporate Controller Location: Norcross Corporate Office Job Type: Salary, Exempt Reports to: Chief Financial Officer Position Summary: The Corporate Controller is responsible for overseeing the accounting function across all entities within the Company’s operations. This role leads the accounting team in managing financial reporting, budgeting, planning, analysis, and internal controls, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards. The Controller partners closely with executive leadership, department heads, external auditors, lenders, and advisors to provide timely, transparent financial information and insights that drive business decisions. The position currently manages four (4) direct reports and plays a key role in building and developing a high-performing accounting team to support the Company’s continued growth and operational excellence. Scope of Role Responsibilities: Provide strategic leadership of the corporate accounting function. Oversee the Controller function, managing monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes while driving efficiency and reducing reporting timelines for management and lenders. Prepare, analyze, and deliver monthly financial statements, including year-over-year and budget-to-actual comparisons, with actionable insights. Partner with the CFO to design, manage, and continuously improve the annual budgeting process. Collaborate with business leaders on P&L management, budget requests, and spend analysis, ensuring alignment with financial goals and identifying trends impacting performance. Work closely with management to review financial results and budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, optimize cash flow, and implement dashboards that highlight key trends requiring action. Manage the external audit process, fostering strong auditor relationships and ensuring compliance with GAAP while proactively monitoring emerging standards and their impact. Conduct internal reviews and audits to verify compliance with established financial controls and procedures. Serve as primary liaison with advisors, lenders, and auditors to meet reporting and compliance requirements. Support the executive team with M&A due diligence, financial modeling, and transaction analysis. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the CFO. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance leadership roles. Master’s degree and CPA designation strongly preferred. Experience in healthcare and/or public accounting (audit) a plus. Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with strong initiative and adaptability when managing competing priorities. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to present financial information clearly and effectively. Advanced analytical skills, strategic thinking capability, and demonstrated leadership experience. Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with keen attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency with accounting systems (NetSuite preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills required. Ability and willingness to quickly learn and leverage additional software and database management systems as needed. Skilled at prioritizing and managing multiple tasks to meet deadlines in a high-demand environment.
