Assistant Corporate Controller (Manufacturing) Location: Hicksville, NY (On-Site, 5 Days/Week)Compensation: $135k - $150k + bonusIndustry: Food ManufacturingSize: ~$500M Revenue, multi-site operationReports to: Corporate Controller A fast-growing, nationally recognized food manufacturing company is seeking an Assistant Controller to join its growing corporate accounting and operational finance functions. With multiple production sites and a complex supply chain, this role is integral to driving financial excellence in a business committed to collaboration, best practices, and long-term growth. As a senior member of the finance leadership team, you'll support all core accounting processes, cost accounting, inventory valuation, and financial reporting. You'll partner closely with operations, supply chain, and production teams to align financial strategy with execution-while developing a high-performing finance team and driving improvements in controls, reporting, and ERP integration. What You'll Do: Support the monthly and annual close process, ensuring timely and accurate consolidated financial statements. Ggeneral ledger, intercompany accounting, AR/AP, and treasury functions. Manage cost accounting, absorption, and variance analysis across multi-site manufacturing operations. Partner with plant and supply chain leadership to improve margin performance, reduce waste, and strengthen throughput reporting. Ensure accurate inventory valuation through regular reconciliations, physical inventory, and cycle counts. Act as a key partner in S&OP, pricing strategy, and capital planning processes. Lead and develop a growing finance team, embedding a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Champion ERP system optimization (Microsoft Dynamics) to ensure accurate, real-time financial and operational integration. Support audits and compliance, maintaining robust internal controls and adherence to GAAP. What They're Looking For: 5-10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing or product-based environment. CPA preferred; Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA preferred). Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of delivering in high-performing teams. Deep expertise in standard cost development, plant profitability, and variance analysis. Hands-on, execution-focused leader with excellent business acumen and cross-functional influence. Proven success managing ERP systems and implementing financial process improvements. Excellent communication skills-able to translate complex financials into actionable insights. Self-starter with high energy, urgency, and a continuous improvement mindset. Ready to Apply?
