Director of Financial Planning

Dynamic, mission driven company is looking for a Director of Finance to oversee all aspects of financial management. This role is ideal for a strategic finance leader passionate about making a community impact while ensuring financial strength and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: Lead the finance team in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll Manage preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP Ensure compliance with regulatory, grant, and funding requirements Partner with the executive team on strategic financial planning and organizational growth initiatives Oversee audits, tax filings, and relationships with external auditors and financial institutions Implement process improvements and strengthen internal controls Mentor and develop finance staff to support professional growth and high performance Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred) 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role Experience in nonprofit, or real estate development strongly preferred Strong knowledge of GAAP, fund accounting, and grant compliance Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and drive process improvements Exceptional communication, analytical, and strategic thinking skills
