Phlebotomist - Located at Liberty Township Client Office Full-Time Day Shift Monday-Friday (8:00am-5:00pm) Weekend Rotation Position Summary: The Phlebotomists/Processor collects, and processes laboratory specimens in Sunquest 8.1. Essential duties and responsibilities: * Perform venipuncture, capillary punctures, and specimen collection with 99%+ accuracy. * Collect urine drug screens, complete chain of custody forms, and requisitions accurately. * Ensure proper patient identification, specimen handling, and labeling for testing. * Verify and complete billing information, and store specimens at correct temperatures. * Proficient in PCR nasopharyngeal swabs and POCT testing (Level III). * Retrieve, process, and prepare specimens in Sunquest 8.1 for transport. * Organize specimen flow within PSC/IOP and assist with related problem-solving. * Operate and maintain equipment, perform inventory checks, and restock supplies. * Provide courteous customer service, assist in training, and follow regulatory and safety standards. * Perform additional duties as requested. Qualifications: * Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. * At least 1 year of experience with phlebotomy. * Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Physical demands and work environment: * Must be able to stand the majority of the shift * Will have exposure to biohazard substances and hazardous chemicals * Be familiar with and adhere to safety, ergonomic and health policies of the Company. * Comply with all PPE requirements when in the laboratory or other biohazard areas. * Complete required safety training and health evaluations in a timely manner. * Anticipate safety hazards, act upon unsafe situations and promote safety awareness.
