Hours of Work : 8am-5pmDays Of Week : Mon-FriWork Shift : 8X5 Day (United States of America)Job Description :Your Job:The Medical Assistant Patient Representative is responsible for representing the patient and supporting the mission and vision of Methodist Health System.Your Job Requirements:Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program.National/Registered Medical Assistant Certification or obtain certification within 90 days of hire.Valid Basic Life Support Certification.Preferred: 2+ years of medical assisting experience in a practice setting.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Strong communication skills.Ability to work effectively across departments in a team environment.Your Job Responsibilities:Communicate clearly and openly.Build collaborative relationships.Maintain high performance standards.Enhance the patient experience.Pursue professional growth.Engage actively with the team.Maintain patient confidentiality and discretion.Administer injections with proper documentation.Assist physicians with patient care according to policies.Record patient history and vital signs.Perform nursing duties within licensure and guidelines.Follow infection control procedures and maintain sterilization QA.Manage medication refills and update anize and monitor medical supplies and vaccines.Check for expired medications monthly and dispose accordingly.Prepare FMLA and other physician documents.Methodist Medical Group is part of Methodist Health System, serving North Texas with over 60 clinics, urgent care, and virtual services.
