The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Cisco technologies and advanced routing protocols, along with strong security and wireless networking expertise.Pay: 60/hr - 70/hrContract: 6-18+ monthsKey ResponsibilitiesDesign, configure, and maintain Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switch infrastructuresImplement and troubleshoot advanced routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and static routingDeploy and manage Meraki wireless solutions including access points, controllers, and wireless security policiesConfigure and maintain Cisco ASA firewalls and Firepower security appliancesImplement network security policies and access controls using Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine)Monitor network performance and optimize traffic flow across LAN, WAN, and wireless networksPerform network capacity planning and scalability assessmentsTroubleshoot complex network issues and provide root cause analysisMaintain network documentation, diagrams, and standard operating proceduresCollaborate with security teams on network segmentation and compliance requirementsMentor junior network engineers and provide technical guidanceRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, or related field5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologiesExpert-level knowledge of Cisco Catalyst switch configuration and managementProficient with Cisco Nexus data center switching platformsExtensive experience with routing protocols: OSPF, BGP, EIGRPHands-on experience with Cisco ASA firewalls and Firepower security modulesExperience deploying and managing Meraki wireless infrastructureStrong understanding of network security principles and best practicesExperience with VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP, and QoS implementationPreferred QualificationsCisco ISE implementation and policy management experienceCurrent Cisco certifications (CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Security, or higher)Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible)Knowledge of SD-WAN technologiesFamiliarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, etc.)Experience in enterprise or service provider environmentsTechnical SkillsCisco IOS/IOS-XE/NX-OS command line proficiencyNetwork design and architecture planningLayer 2/3 switching and routing protocolsWireless networking standards (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax)Network security implementation and troubleshootingTCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and other core networking protocolsBenefitsBenefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
