This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly driven person with a well-rounded skill set to join the Intellectual Property team, whose responsibilities extend beyond those of a traditional Analyst. The ideal person will have a strong grasp of the Intellectual Property industry and be flexible and a strategic thinker able to take on a variety of tasks.ResponsibilitiesPerform and synthesize in-depth industry, technology, and company-specific researchReview, organize, analyze, and summarize financial, marketing, and other documents produced by clientsBuild detailed financial models (e.g., discounted cash flow, comparable market/transaction, WACC)Develop and communicate clear takeaways from information with qualitative and quantitative considerationsWrite detailed, persuasive reports and prepare PowerPoint presentationsCommunicate effectively with team members, including senior leaders and clients, in a structured and thoughtful mannerManage multiple concurrent engagementsQualificationsBachelor's degree in finance or accounting required; engineering or technical background is a plusAcademic success – minimum 3.5 GPAProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointExcellent written and oral communication skillsHigh degree of professionalism, integrity, flexibilityExceptional analytical skillsAbility to work well in a team environmentProgress towards relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, ASA) is a plusPreferred QualificationsRelevant work experience in investment banking, private equity, M&A, corporate finance, and/or intellectual propertyPhysical And Mental Job QualificationsMust be willing to work in person in our Chicago, IL office on a hybrid scheduleBenefits and Additional InformationFlexible work environment; remote work when neededGenerous PTO PolicyMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401k MatchA reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $85,000 - $100,000.
