This is not incremental engineering—it is high-stakes, first-principles design. Our team is small, flat, and relentlessly driven. We move fast, break down barriers, and expect every engineer to own entire systems end-to-end. Strong communication and a hands-on mindset are essential.As a Hardcore Electrical Engineer, you will push the boundaries of what’s possible in robotics. You’ll design and integrate electrical systems that operate at the edge of performance, reliability, and manufacturability—ensuring that every component, layout, and system meets the demands of advanced humanoid robotics.ResponsibilitiesArchitect power electronics and distribution for high-actuation, high-density humanoid robotsDesign advanced PCB layouts for sensing, actuation, and compute modules under extreme constraintsBuild real-time embedded systems using microcontrollers and high-speed digital interfacesDebug, characterize, and optimize across thermal, EMI, and signal-integrity domainsDevelop rapid prototypes, validation rigs, and custom tools to accelerate iterationCollaborate closely with mechanical, software, and AI teams to bring robots to lifeRequirementsExtensive experience in electrical system design for robotics, consumer electronics, or similarly demanding fieldsDeep understanding of power electronics, signal integrity, and mixed-signal circuit designHands-on experience debugging and validating hardware (use of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.)Experience designing under constraints (size, weight, power, thermal, etc.)History of successfully moving from prototyping to production with high reliabilityStrong ability to optimize trade‑offs between performance, manufacturability, cost, and reliabilityComfort working fast‑paced environments with tight timelines and high technical complexityExcellent communication and teamwork, especially across hardware, mechanical, and software domainsBenefits & CompensationSalary Range: $160,000 – $190,000Health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysEqual Opportunity Employer1X is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
