Our team of skilled professionals is dedicated to delivering exceptional service and maintaining the highest standards of course upkeep, ensuring that each visitor to our facilities has an unparalleled experience.Job DetailsJob PurposeThis Director of Sales is responsible for the selling, planning, and coordinating of all aspects of Golf Tournaments, Membership Sales and Private Events. Working closely with the sales team, the Director of Sales creates and implements strategies to meet sales targets, maximize profitability and create memorable guest experiences.Salary Range - $70,000 base + monthly commissions.ResponsibilitiesGenerate a definitive sales and marketing plan to achieve departmental revenue goals and meet or exceed sales goals and budgetsBe an ambassador for the property by fostering relationships with individuals & corporations who book tournaments, events and membershipMaintain repeatable and predictable business while prospecting for new Golf Tournaments, Private Club Memberships and Private EventsDevelop market segments and solicit new customer relationships while maintaining existing relationshipsSell and market to external markets may encompass corporate events/meetings/trainings, charities, foundations, non-profits, others may include school athletic tournaments, and memorialsBe an ambassador for the property, fostering relationships with individuals & corporations who book tournaments, events and membership to maintain repeatable and predictable business while prospecting for new Golf Tournaments, Private Club Memberships and Private EventsHeighten awareness externally with the community from the club to golf shows, bridal shows and other public eventsResponsible for being a positive role model in both social media formats and public forums by being active and showing consistent participation in all public facing opportunitiesWork closely with the Event team & Executive Chef when designing custom menus and the entire management team to communicate upcoming eventsAttract, develop, and retain key sales personnelGenerate a definitive sales and marketing plan to achieve departmental revenue goals which meet and exceed sales goals and budgetsOther duties may be assigned by managementAdditional InformationQualificationsKnowledge of how to use social media to drive sales is required including TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest etc.Must have a positive, engaging, and team-oriented view on the workplaceProficient in computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel and CRMThorough understanding of market trends for events, sales strategies and creative opportunities to drive business growthSolid time management, organization and prioritization skills; ability to work with little or no direct supervisionExcellent customer service orientation and focus on customer satisfaction requiredStrong leadership and people skills, plus the ability to build and foster a team environment desiredValid driver’s license requiredEducationCollege degree preferred or 3 years of related experience in sales preferably in golf/hospitality/service industry, or equivalent combination of education and experienceSkills/Abilities/Personal CharacteristicsStrategyFlexibilityVerbal and Written CommunicationBusiness AnalyticsResolve ConflictTeamworkTime ManagementCollaborationDecision makingThoroughnessEfficiencyWorking ConditionsDays and hours of work vary by schedule and business needs.Evening, weekend, and holiday work will be required.While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand for long periods of time, to walk, read, hear, talk, balance, climb, use hands, use fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, smell, taste, push or pull.
