W2ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Design and implement new features for mainframe ACAPS application while continuously improving quality of technical products and applicationsProvide technical knowledge and leadership as a developer on an agile squadWork collaboratively with other software engineers to define system architectures and design solutionsDevelop software meeting code quality standards and metricsPractice test-driven developmentParticipate in communities of practice by contributing to and following standards, reviewing others code, and sharing knowledgeAchieve operational excellence by automating processes and writing maintainable, supportable, and testable codeMaintain effective partnerships with operations and engineering teams to drive service improvementRemain current on IT trends pertaining to their area of practiceAssist with problem resolution for end users and customersContribute to the definition of operational procedures for software developmentMaintain appropriate controls and documentation to ensure compliance of audit requirementsOther duties as assignedExperience RequirementsMUST HAVE SKILLSACAPSCOBOLJCLPlatform Engineering - Main FrameNICE TO HAVE SKILLS:Data PowerDB2DevOpsIBM IDZMQMINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:5+ years of Mainframe/ACAPS experience.Knowledge of object-oriented and functional software designUnderstanding of Software Development MethodologiesUnderstanding of security best practicesStrong problem solving skillsStrong collaboration skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsEducation RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or comparable with 5+ years of experienceSkills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate.
