OverviewJob Title: Credit OfficerDepartment: Credit – SCR RegionClassification: ExemptReports to: SCR Credit ManagerSummary / ObjectiveResponsible for preparation of credit assessment and other administrative matters in connection with credit.Essential FunctionsReview the credit application and all calculations presented, the appraisal report, the environmental report, the rent roll, the lease agreements, the preliminary title report, the financial statements, the tax returns, the corporate documents, compliance requirements and compliance plete the appraisal review for new loan applications.Prepare the credit assessment for new credit proposals and credit munications with frontline teams on collecting the required documents to process a loan as well as revising the credit proposals.Recommend commercial loan and trade service transactions in the GCMS loan system (collateral, customer rating, facility rating, credit limit, loan agreement and loan advances).Review and update Bankpoint for pipeline reporting / tracking purpose of new loans.Call back after a new loan booking including completion of the required closing checklist.Participate in property inspections.Assist to review loan documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with law and Bank policy.Perform other duties and assignments as required.Observe strictly the code of ethics of the Department / petenciesLanguage Skills. Ability to read and interpret documents (such as operating and procedure manuals); ability to write routine reports and correspondence; and ability to speak effectively to employees of the organization.Mathematical Skills. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and puter Skills. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the Database software; Word-processing software; Internet software and Spreadsheet software.Must be well organized and have excellent proof-reading ability.Position requires independent judgment and performance of high-level tasks.Analytical - synthesize complex or diverse information; collect and research data; and use intuition and experience to complement data.Problem Solving - gather and analyze information skillfully; and develops alternative terpersonal Skills - maintain confidentiality.Oral Communication - speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; and listen to and seek clarification.Written Communication - write clearly and informatively.Teamwork - exhibit objectivity and openness to others' views.Ability to perform services in person from a Bank office or Branch to, among other things, access the Bank’s computer systems and engage in an interactive environment with co-workers.Supervisory ResponsibilityNone.Physical DemandsThis is largely a sedentary role, requiring use of typical office equipment such as a computer, laptop and cell phone. Work is completed in person in an office environment.
