We believe in nourishing the whole person, creating community through great food and programming, and doing what’s right, every time.We are Nourishing a Brighter Future.Job SummaryAs the Vice President of Finance for the FLIK Independent School Dining (FISD) you will be responsible for all financial aspects for a $400MM, and growing, Division with 3,600+ employees. In this multifaceted leadership role, we seek a results oriented, growth minded and highly collaborative professional, with a consistent record of strong performance. You will serve as a strategic business partner to the Division President in pursuit of profitable growth through new business, client retention and process innovation. This position reports to the FISD Division President with a dotted line to the Chief Financial Officer and works closely with the Sales Teams to drive growth, profitability, and cash-flow.Considered applicants will ideally live in: Rye Brook, NYC, Boston, or CharlotteOpen due to a promotion, this is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing division and take part in shaping FISD’s trajectory and advancement of a best–in-class hospitality culture. We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic leader who embraces our company culture.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as financial advisor and business partner to the Division President by contributing to FISD strategy and planning with emphasis on sustainable long term growthLead a team of up to 5 finance professionals.Continually challenge the status quo and look for new ways to make valuable contributions.Drive process innovation and optimization for greater efficiencyWork collaboratively with cross functional teams to build annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities.Partner with Sales and Division President to provide deal modeling and valuation, solutions and presentations to win new business and retain current clients.Evaluate new business, manage contracting and support and participate in client negotiations e.g., contractual discussions, AR disputes.Perform special projects as assigned such as industry benchmarking, ad hoc analysis, assist in prioritizing initiatives, generate economics for new products.Coaching and development of the Operational team to generate improvement in account profitability through raising financial awareness and financial competence of the operations team.Review and analyze financial reporting, from unit to Division perspective, to proactively confront potential risks, issues and opportunities.Attend and present to divisional and regional meetings as needed.Develop and grow the Finance team under the FLIK Independent Schools umbrella.Coordinate field management needs with corporate accounting, finance, treasury, IT and other departments as needed.Preferred Qualifications10+ Years of Senior Financial Management experience preferred in an operational settingBachelor’s Degree required; MBA or CPA a plusFood service industry knowledge and experience would be an advantageExtensive experience with large transactions (Business Development&Contract Negotiation)Strong negotiation, communication and analysis skills requiredHands on experience with process improvement methodologies, project management and change management strongly preferred.Travel throughout the US required (20%)Strong interpersonal, influencing and team building skillsBenefitsMedicalDentalVisionLife Insurance/ ADDisability InsuranceRetirement PlanPaid Time OffHoliday Time Off (varies by site/state)Associate Shopping ProgramHealth and Wellness ProgramsDiscount MarketplaceIdentity Theft ProtectionPet InsuranceCommuter BenefitsEmployee Assistance ProgramFlexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)Paid Parental LeavePersonal LeaveAssociates may also be eligible for paid and/or unpaid time off benefits in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
