Job Description

OverviewResponsible for management of the direct sales channel in North America. Support company growth objectives. This position will be primarily working on new sales opportunities not currently held. These customers can be OEM, User, Contractor, Mechanical Contractor, or other direct users. Utilize and analyze existing KPI’s and create additional ones to properly measure performance and identify areas of improvement. Ensure annual sales and margin goals are achieved. Work closely with the Director of North America Channel Sales to resolve conflicts/channel decisions with Direct and Channel TM’s and elevate to the VP/GM of North America, when necessary.ResponsibilitiesPrime responsibility will be to focus on new sales revenue based on targets and existing account growth. Responsibility will be geographic, market and customer directed.Approximately 80% of sales activity will be focused on new sales opportunities with 20% assigned to existing accounts with growth opportunities.Prepare and execute a coordinated annual sales plan to establish new and existing account strategies including new products and target markets. Assure that such plans are compatible with company objectives.Determine if a specific target will be better served through a distributor or direct. Work with Territory Sales Manager, Channel Sales Manager and inside sales representative to make this process seamless to a customer. Consider the customers’ needs and the inventory requirements needed.Develop sales strategies to expand and grow existing business, develop and win new business. Coach and mentor direct reports to meet individual sales and margin objectives.Proper use and incorporation of CRM system for sales management and local TM performance reviews.Assign and measure key objectives for direct reports.Identify opportunities for efficiency gains and define, manage and/or execute solutions.Regular review of Territory geography account assignments and make necessary adjustments for workload and to achieve sales objectives.RequirementsProven expertise and 7-10 years’ experience in the sales of measurement and control productsBS degree (preferred in engineering), or equivalent practical experience.Capable of working effectively with all new target accounts and their personnel involved in specifying, selecting and purchasing the Company’s products.Thorough knowledge of our Company’s products, their applications, features and benefits and a thorough knowledge of all market segments in which the products are applied and sold to.Expertise in interpreting and writing specifications and in negotiating and closing orders.Ashcroft Inc. is an Equal Employment Opportunity EmployerEOE AA M/F/Vet/DisabilityPlease note: The position requires U.S. Citizen, Permanent Legal Resident or granted Asylee/Refugee status under the Immigration and Nationality Act. #J-18808-Ljbffr
