Position Overview The primary responsibility of the Director - Process & Solution Design Engineering is to optimize technology operations processes, manage solution consultants, and ensure consistent execution of defined processes. This position partners closely with several teams across Corporate IT to ensure successful definition and execution of processes within IT disciplines and cross-functionally. The candidate will have extensive experience leading teams and facilitating process optimization efforts. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.'s policies, practices, and procedures. All Las Vegas Sands Corp. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Drive process optimization across IT teams to document, design, automate, and optimize technology processes. Direct and manage a team of solution consultants. Develop expertise in technology processes and how they are enabled. Facilitate process mapping sessions and document current and future states. Collaborate with IT teams to create roadmaps to enable implementation strategies against future state process designs. Support technical teams in defining sustainable, measurable monitoring through KPI or SLA definition. Enable design reviews with stakeholders and executive leadership, facilitating alignment discussions as needed. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless and consistent execution of technology processes. Identify process optimization opportunities and direct re-engineering efforts. Drive development of training and change management plans. Provide operational leadership throughout solution lifecycle. Evaluate emerging operational opportunities and define action plans to incorporate into current and future processes. Create documentation in support of process solutions. Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts. Perform job duties in a safe manner. Attend work as scheduled on a consistent and regular basis. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications At least 21 years of age. Proof of authorization to work in the United States Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, architecture, or related field preferred. Consideration will be given for demonstrated experience in lieu of a degree. Six Sigma, CBPP, CBPRS or similar certifications preferred. Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license, as required by law or policy. 8+ years experience in operational management, process engineering or change management. 5 years demonstrated record of accomplishment of managing and coordinating contractors and cross-functional teams. Experience leading remote and local teams. Experience managing metrics-driven initiatives and enthusiasm around data-driven reporting. Demonstrated history of successful high-profile project oversight - especially in high end / branded environments. Ability to work collaboratively and communicate with technology team as well as leadership team, while being a self-starter - and the poise and discipline to know when and how to communicate. Ability to contribute in the development of, and understand RFPs, SoWs, and contract documents. Demonstrated experience managing or enabling change for processes related to mission critical systems, data center commissioning and technology implementation scope. Proficiency in recognizing items that are/are not within the scope of work during the process discussions. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience. Must be able to work varied shifts. Physical Requirements Must be able to physically access assigned workspace areas with or without reasonable accommodation. Work remotely as necessary. Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, and dust.
