OverviewIndustrial Design Engineer, GES NA Ops Engineering at Amazon. Global Engineering Services (GES) NA Ops Engineering is searching for an innovative and solutions-oriented engineering project leader to lead initiatives of developing and delivering next generation, world-class sortation and transportation systems. The Concept Development & Design Team will support retrofit designs for first mile retrofits as well as controls & solutions development to be used for future projects.If you are excited about leading engineering projects amongst the world’s brightest talent to full potential, designing systems that leverage automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies and robotics, and owning high-impact, high-visibility projects, this role may be for you.You will collaborate with internal and external teams to design high-quality, cost-effective solutions for fulfillment systems, including retrofits for highly automated fulfillment centers and cross-dock facilities. You will work with a team of highly skilled engineers in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment.Travel up to 25% may be required, with availability to work from a corporate office when not traveling.
