Our over 6,000 employees are all united by one mission: For the People.SummaryMorgan & Morgan is looking for an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to join its quickly growing practice of plaintiff's personal injury lawyers and supporting case staff in our office in Columbia, SC.The Personal Injury Attorney will handle a heavy and complex caseload from pre-litigation, litigation, trial prep and trial. Cases may include representing plaintiffs in motor vehicle and other cases in and around Columbia.Our law firm offers generous and competitive compensation including a base salary, guaranteed commission, and ongoing commission bonuses (uncapped), as well as a full benefits package. Each litigator will have a large case staff assisting them, including a dedicated paralegal and a dedicated legal assistant.ResponsibilitiesDay-to-day handling of both pre-litigation and litigation casesDrafting and filing of litigation documents including pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions and memoranda of lawGuide plaintiff clients through the case processCoordinate with expert witnesses including conferences, drafting of expert reports and affidavitsAttend and prepare for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearancesQualificationsLaw degree (J.D. / JD / Juris Doctor) from a fully accredited law schoolAn active member in good standing with the State Bar Association (SC required)Minimum 2+ years of personal injury / premises liability experienceAbility to manage a high volume of pre-litigation and litigation casesExcellent client service and communication skillsSuperior writing and oral advocacy skills#LI-HK1Morgan & Morgan is a leading personal injury law firm dedicated to protecting the people, not the powerful.
