Title: Business Office Coordinator State Role Title: Business Office Coordinator Hiring Range: $55,000 - $70,000 Pay Band: 4 Agency: Dept of Veterans Services Location: Davis & McDaniel Vet Care Ctr Agency Website: Recruitment Type: General Public - G Job Duties Do monthly billing and prepare/send monthly resident account statements. Bill Medicare, Medicaid, hospice, Private pay claims and follow-up with adjustments. Manually bill Medicare Replacement if needed. Bill Long Term Care Insurance and Medicare co-insurance. Complete Ancillary's and do monthly billing to residents. Pull and report patient liabilities to be signed off on. Compile and complete VA billing for the end of the month. Get reports to the VA and submit to OB10 to be paid. Balance and complete reports for VA billing at beginning of month. Do collections and letters to overdue accounts. Assist families/resident with Medicaid applications. Maintain accounts receivable. Post cash for Accounts Receivable to correct accounts. Prepare correspondence, reports, forms, etc. as necessary. Maintain records required by licensing agencies. Compile and prepare data/reports as required. Balance daily census. Complete adjustments and other paperwork for billing purposes. Midnight census to Nursing Supervisor to track admission/discharges. Compile admission paperwork for Business Office files and packets to be sent to the VA. Administer the Residents Trust Fund in the absence of the Business Office Assistant. Writes up Resident Fund deposit. Performs other duties as may be assigned that are within the department's mission and as situations warrant in meeting the overall needs of the agency. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor. Serves in the AOC rotation. Minimum Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent. Advanced courses in accounting. Experience working with Medicaid/Medicare. One year of bookkeeping experience and previous experience working in a long-term care setting desired. Knowledge of state and federal regulations in relation to facilities financial operations.
