Description: 1st Shift (6:00am - 2:30pm Mon - Fri) The Assembler II is responsible for performing a variety of moderately complex assembly tasks in support of Department of Defense (DoD) electronic products and systems. This role involves following detailed work instructions, engineering drawings, and industry standards to assemble, inspect, and test electronic components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. The Assembler II ensures that all work meets strict quality, safety, and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities: • Assemble electronic components, wiring, and hardware into sub-assemblies and final products in accordance with engineering drawings, schematics, and written instructions. • Perform soldering, wiring, crimping, and mechanical assembly tasks using appropriate tools and equipment. • Inspect work for accuracy, quality, and compliance with IPC/J-STD and company standards. • Identify and report nonconformances or defects to supervision and assist in corrective actions. • Maintain accurate production and inspection records as required. • Follow established ESD, FOD, and safety protocols in all assembly operations. • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and throughput. • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve technical issues. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electronics assembly preferred. • 2+ years of experience in electronics or electro-mechanical assembly, preferably in a defense or aerospace environment. • Working knowledge of IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, or equivalent soldering/assembly standards (certification a plus). • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and written work instructions. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance if required. Physical Requirements: • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. • Manual dexterity to work with small components and hand tools. • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed. Work Environment: • Production floor environment with exposure to electronics assembly equipment, soldering stations, and test fixtures. • Adherence to ESD and FOD protocols as required.
