Boka Restaurant Group   and the   Chicago Athletic Association   are currently seeking a  Server Assistant  to join their team at   Cindy's !   Please note   this is a   part-time   position with a request for availability from Sunday through Wednesday mornings and evenings.  General   Description:   Acts  as  an assistant to  the  Server during service. View our restaurants here: Specific Tasks:   Obtain service area assignments at the beginning of each shift.   Maintain constant communication with  the  Server in your assigned section, keeping tabs on where each of your tables is in their meal.   Promptly greet guests as they are seated and offer Bottled water or still water when applicable.   Refill water when needed.   Perform serving. Cleaning or stocking duties to facilitate customer service.   Inform  the  Server of any questions or needs the guests may have.   Set tables with clean glassware and  tableware  to  the  standard set by  the restaurant.   Clear tables after guests leave, wipe tables and seats with “table turners ”,  and  clean  the  floor under and around tables. Always use a tray when clearing an empty table.   Remove empty serving dishes, used silverware, and  plateware  between courses, and provide clean tableware for their next course.   Notifying management of dishes that are not eaten.   Remove empty glassware when needed, always using a tray.   Maintain overall cleanliness of tables while guests are dining.   Scrape and stack dirty dishes in the dish station according to the restaurant standards to reduce breakage.   Maintain  the  cleanliness and organization of  the  dish and staging areas.   Stock the service stations and kitchen with clean glassware and  tableware  during service.   Assist with cleaning up   spills or broken glass in the restaurant.   Make and serve coffee drinks ordered by  the  server when requested   Maintain adequate supplies in service stations.   Assist with polishing when needed.   Complete daily opening and closing “side work” assigned by management.   Attend all scheduled meetings and offer suggestions for improvement.   Fill in when needed to ensure guest service standards.   Take guests’ allergies with the utmost seriousness and comply with  the  Allergy Protocol set by  the  restaurant   Comply with all safety and sanitation (including handwashing) guidelines and procedures   Boka Restaurant Group operates on a  seven-day-per-week  schedule; consistent and reliable attendance is mandatory.     Physical Requirements:   Lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds   Safely and effectively use all necessary tools and equipment   Stand and walk for an entire shift, including moving safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven, and slick surfaces     Expectations:     Hospitable : We are known for exceptional guest service in all of our pursuits, and it is your job to uphold these high standards , and to find ways to go above and beyond the guests’ expectations.   Positive, Personable, and Professional .
