Our client, a leader in the real estate and home-building industry, is seeking a Residential Design Manager to lead the preparation, updating, and maintenance of architectural plans and documents. Based on-site in Dallas, Texas, this role offers a dynamic opportunity to shape the architectural library for residential homes, sales offices, and model complexes while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This is your chance to contribute to high-quality designs in a thriving real estate market.***** Utilize AutoCAD to create detailed residential plans, including floor plans, roof plans, elevations, sections, and electrical layouts. Supervise design phases with multiple departments to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables. Maintain a log of plan changes, communicate updates with internal teams and consultants, and ensure smooth coordination. Compile and submit design review packages and standard plans per community and local requirements. Research and summarize building codes, zoning, and technical documents to streamline architectural submittals. Ensure design compliance with municipal codes and specifications. Collaborate with Architectural Review Committees, Structural Engineers, and other external teams for effective project execution. Perform quality control reviews of architectural documents to ensure accuracy and adherence to industry standards. Provide guidance to builders on design specifications and corrections. Supervise and manage the daily activities of a Senior CAD Drafter.Must-Have ***** Proven proficiency in AutoCAD and Photoshop. 3+ years of experience in drafting, architecture, or structural engineering. Strong knowledge of residential production home building. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a dynamic work environment. Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.Nice-to-Have ***** Bachelor’s degree in architecture, drafting, or a related field. Familiarity with zoning regulations and municipal codes in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Experience managing and mentoring team members. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Prior experience with lot fit analysis and final plat reviews.
