What You Will Do as a Home Health and Hospice Director of Business Development At Dignity Care, a Director of Business Development career is more than a job or “a calling” – it’s a chance to leave a legacy of service and love in someone's life. As Director of Business Development for Home Health and Hospice you will lead and manage the Business Development team to drive referral growth and expand market presence. This role focuses on developing and maintaining strong relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other referral sources. You will collaborate closely with clinical and operational leadership to ensure seamless communication, high-quality service delivery, and strong customer satisfaction. As a key member of the leadership team, you will monitor market trends, implement strategic growth initiatives, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards while achieving organizational goals. Some of your primary responsibilities will include: Create and manage sales performance goals for the region. Monitor and direct the business development staffing strategy. Ensure that sales team has necessary training and resources to drive business from physicians, facilities, and other referral sources. Create and direct the region’s enterprise growth strategy partnering with health care providers to ensure a continuum of care. Work closely with the operations team to ensure successful execution of the region’s operational growth strategy. Function as a member of the executive management team for the region. Ensure that company compliance, performance, and HR guidelines are maintained in the region. Monitor and evaluate employee performance. Hold employees accountable for the attainment of defined goals and objectives. Execute effective performance redirection when needed. Develop employees through coaching, mentoring, and formal/on the job training and development opportunities. Perform other duties as assigned. Three years of related healthcare experience, which should include scheduling and working with multiple referral sources and quality assurance or risk management. If appropriate, maintains current clinical credentials at all times. Demonstrates exceptional phone skills. Has ability to read, follow written instructions, and document services provided. Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities. Previous customer service experience is preferred. Excellent organizational skills are required. Experience working with home health care standards and quality assurance or risk management. Knowledge of home health care services and/or hospice process for compliance with visits, authorization processes for insurance carriers and medical records requirements. Is flexible and cooperative in fulfilling role obligations. Ability to communicate with professionalism to employees and those in our community. Computer software proficiency preferred including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, and has experience working with electronic medical records systems. Experience with Matrix Care software preferred. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and organization requirements and is in good working order.
