With offices in just outside Dallas, TX, they support highly sensitive national security programs with cutting-edge solutions.Our client is seeking a Cisco-focused Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure across mission-critical environments. You will architect LAN/WAN solutions, troubleshoot complex networking issues, and ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams. You would work across various highly sensitive internal programs.Required ***** Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure including LAN/WAN, routers, switches, VPN appliances, and VPNs. Configure and troubleshoot Cisco technologies (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, GRE tunnels, IPSec, SSL VPN, QoS, VLAN, MPLS, STP, trunking, etc.). Experience with Palo Alto and Cisco firewalls. Proficiency in network protocols, services, and tools (Radius, DNS, NTP, SYSLOG, SSH, TCP/IP subnetting). Develop documentation including network diagrams (Visio) and configuration records. Perform assessments, testing, and validation of network environments to ensure functionality, security, and compliance. Coordinate with vendors and carriers for telecom services, POP, circuits, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with cloud technologies and network automation (e.g., scripting, Python). Ability to acquire and maintain a TS/SI/TK clearance.***** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience). Strong knowledge of firewalls, proxies, and load balancers. Effective communication and collaboration skills.
