Role OverviewAs Service Director, you'll be the thoughtful conductor of the guest experience—leading a spirited and informed front-of-house team, orchestrating service that is precise yet playful, and cultivating a sense of hospitality that feels both elevated and genuine. Key ResponsibilitiesLead & Inspire the Team Hire, train, and coach the front-of-house staff, fostering a collaborative, empathetic, and intentional culture rooted in the values Chef Avishar Barua embodies, such as transparency, support, and trust. Contribute to team rituals and pre-service discussions that build confidence, clarity, and camaraderie—while encouraging staff to serve with both detail oriented focus and lighthearted energy. Elevate Guest Experience Ensure exceptional service: seamless pacing of courses, attentive yet unobtrusive table maintenance, and the kind of intuitive, anticipatory hospitality seen in fine-dining benchmarks. Maintain high standards of knowledge regarding each dish, ingredient, and pairing—empowering staff to confidently tell Agni’s story with warmth and accuracy. Operational Mastery Oversee floor flow, staffing rosters, and service logistics to ensure each tasting unfolds flawlessly. Collaborate closely with the culinary team on coordination and presentation of the multi-course menu—supporting smooth transitions and guest satisfaction. Monitor and manage inventory, service tools, and front-of-house supplies with efficiency and foresight. Guest-First Mindset Serve as the welcoming face of Agni—resolving front-of-house concerns, managing guest feedback, and ensuring every experience reflects our standards of care and creativity. Embrace flexibility—ready to adapt to shifting dynamics or guest needs across nights, weekends, and peak moments. Compliance & Continuous Growth Ensure all necessary team members are trained in health, safety, and sanitation protocols (e.g., ServSafe or equivalent certifications). What We’re Looking For3–5+ years in upscale or fine-dining settings, preferably with tasting-menu or multi-course experience.
