This is a high-growth, fast-moving company, and we need a vibrant, positive, highly competent and extremely detailed individual to assist with our internal payroll and reporting needs. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with a high volume of interactions and work each day.Role DescriptionThe ideal candidate is someone who is willing, able and wants to have a major impact in key areas of RJR Maintenance during its growth years; is excited about mid-size business challenges; isnt afraid to get their hands dirty; works effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment and is technologically a quick learner, detail-oriented, and trustworthy.QualificationsProcess payroll weekly payroll for all RJR affiliated companies.Ensure RJR is in compliance with all Federal, State and Local Payroll laws and regulations for all full time, temporary and Prevailing Wage employees Reconcile Workday and ADP reports for completeness for new hires, terminations, leave of absence, compensation adjustments, etc.Function as the key liaison with ADP (Our companys Payroll Tax Processor) to ensure proper payroll tax reportingCalculate prorated and retro payments based on the effective date of change and process pay data batches.Through a strong working relationship with our legal department, keep abreast of significant changes to payroll tax reporting and laws with regard to Federal, State and local taxes.Ensure all of our jurisdictions are properly registered and all SUI / SIT registration numbers are properly communicated to our third-party tax processors, ADPHandles issues with project managers and supervisors; verifies reports are done correctly by project managers; analyzes timesheets of project managers; does surprise inspections of project managers/supervisors.Manage all notices received by the IRS, States and Localities and swiftly research the issue to close the caseEnsure the company is in compliance with current ACA regulationsDevelop and implement policies for maximizing operational efficiency and profitability, and ensuring accountabilityEnsure the standard operating procedures are followed by everyone in the fieldMakes sure owners/executives only need to deal with large fires and identify potential issues to prevent themResolve employee payroll issues such as overpayment, no payment, late deposits, etc.Process garnishmentsProcess other duties as itiate appropriate recourse if company policies and procedures are not met as required.
