Job Title: Corporate BuyerLocation: Edison, NJ (Hybrid Onsite as Needed)Postal Code: 08837Pay Rate: $27/hourSchedule: 40 hours/week | 8 hours/dayCore Hours: 7:30 AM 4:00 PM, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM, or 8:30 AM 5:00 PMJob Type: Contract 13 Weeks (Possible Extension Based on Performance)Position Summary:Pride Health is hiring a Corporate Buyer to support purchasing operations for a healthcare organization in Edison, NJ. This individual will be responsible for processing purchase requests, ensuring contract compliance, managing vendor relationships, and contributing to cost-saving and standardization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong procurement knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a focus on customer service and operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Review purchase requests and coordinate with departments regarding specifications, delivery timelines, and quality requirements.Ensure compliance with Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) contracts and utilize GPO tools for pricing and product information.Place purchase orders via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) or directly with vendors.Monitor price increases, report discrepancies, and update the Materials Management department as needed.Solicit quotes for non-GPO items, conduct pricing analyses, and negotiate competitive rates.Evaluate and analyze group purchasing contracts to identify cost-saving opportunities.Assess vendors based on product specifications, pricing, and delivery performance.Expedite back-ordered items and collaborate with departments on suitable substitutions.Drive initiatives focused on cost savings, product standardization, and inventory optimization.Provide high-quality customer service to internal departments and external partners.Process all purchase orders within 24 hours of requisition.Support product evaluations through market research and cost-benefit analysis.Maintain accurate pricing and item data through collaboration with suppliers.Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction.Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards of professional conduct.Required Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum of 3 years of purchasing experience, including issuing purchase orders and evaluating suppliers.Familiarity with automated procurement systems.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong customer service orientation and organizational skills.Why Join Pride Health?Pride Health offers eligible employees comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with preferred vendors
